Trying times need good attitudes.

Today I learned a great lesson from the weather.  You should never take for granted that you will have water when the temperature & wind chill are in the double digits below zero.  I spent a good portion of my day heating snow to have water to flush the toilets and crawling under my double-wide trying to assess the process that would most likely lead to my pipes thawing out.  As I sit here warming up before I fix myself some supper I started thinking about the Bible account of Abraham's servant going to find a wife for Isaac. (Genesis 24) He asks God for a sign which is really a monumental feat.  Not only does he ask for the right girl to give him a  drink but she is to also give his camels a drink too. Really? That's a lot of work to be asking of one young girl. Camels drink gallons upon gallons of water after a long journey.  Of course we all know that he was looking for a special  extraordinary wife for his master's son. She must have had a wonderful attitude and a servant's heart.  I must admit that I did not have a very good attitude as I ran out into the frigid air and scooped up pan after pan of snow to melt down into water.  We need to be careful of our attitudes as we trudge through the hard tasks that come into our lives.  Ps. 68:3 says, "But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea let them exceedingly rejoice."
